Soma Aquatics has been running free swim lesson opportunities in collaboration with the Marin City Community Services District, Boys and Girls Clubs, Play Marin, City of Mill Valley, Tamalpais Union High School District, and other local organizations since 2013 with the aim at pool access and water safety for low income families.  We currently offer free learn to swim classes Sundays for select sessions at Strawberry Recreation District Pool (year-round).

All kids deserve to have pool access.  With the amount of water around those that live in Marin, we all deserve to be water safe.  The ability to play safely in your own community at or near water ways is something we all deserve and should be a fundamental right, not a privilege.
